Speaking of Twitter
Soon after I had presented the results of my Twitter poll I started to brainstorm on what my readers (the blog) and my followers ( twitter ) actually uses Twitter to.
From the beginning when I got twitter came I hardly remember that it ever existed. It was well maybe a couple of tweets per week, at best. Then something happened! I started to log in every day, and it is a habit I continue to this day.
I post daily tweets about interesting articles, websites or blogs. I write and offers tips on when I publish new posts. I write about my love of football and much more. In particular, it invites you to the spontaneous writing: when you only have 140 characters in which case it really practicing to "kill your darlings." But above all it is a quick way to communicate.
Another distinct advantage, if you think bokblogg, is that many writers use twitter and you can quickly and easily find out new things going on in their lives. As an example, I follow Meg Cabot (my daughter's favorite), Stephen Booth and Peter James . Sure is a lot about where they are currently located on the signings and the like, but you can also learn a lot about their latest book project. In addition, the many useful tips to offer on things that in all cases interest me.
I went through my list of followers the other day and found that I have followers from Sweden, England, Germany, Italy and the United States. Most tweets I write in Swedish (though I sometimes write in English), and then it's hardly interesting for most of them. The idea to write only in English has entered my mind, but I have not yet reached the point where I really will do it.
How are you doing? What do you use Twitter for? Updating you every day, or only occasionally?
Somewhere I read an article about Twitter and celebrities. Now, I unfortunately do not remember neither where or when I read this. But do you think that as a "celebrity" must keep abreast of developments and really visible everywhere (twitter, facebook, my space, etc.)?
